Join Joyality Co-Founder Rachel McKenzie Taylor for a 9-month deep dive Regenerative Leadership Incubator October 2020. Together we will journey through an effective and expansive curriculum designed to support your personal evolution and collective contribution. This program will weave together the signature Joyality Program curriculum with other modalities and disciplines such as Core Gift work, Herbalism, Intersectionality, Anti-Racism, Ceremony, Human Design and Emergent Strategy. We will approach our journey together through intersectional lenses of social and environmental justice, and will center topics such as anti-racism, unsettling and harm reduction in our work together. This course is designed to equip you with a rich experience and understanding of the spectrum of tools available to you both internally and externally as you step into regenerative leadership, and provide you with personal and strategic support to bring your vision for yourself and the world into reality.

WHAT IS REGENERATIVE LEADERSHIP?

We are living in wholly unprecedented times. The level of destruction and collapse we are facing collectively is extreme, and the opportunities for transformation, healing, and building new worlds are unparalleled. As human beings, we are being invited to evolve in real-time in order to rise to the call of this moment and chart a new course towards a vibrant, just and regenerative world. This requires a different kind of leadership. Regeneration is the opposite of destruction and it goes deeper than sustainability - regeneration goes to the root cause of a problem and heals there, creating new and transformative solutions. Regenerative Leadership has the capacity to build relationships, solutions, and systems that not only solve the problems of destruction and oppression but also heal the damage done by these old systems. Regenerative Leadership works from principles of reciprocity, interconnection, collective wisdom and care, personal reflection and accountability, transformative justice, and responsiveness. Regenerative Leaders can be in deep uncertainty and still lead effectively. Regenerative Leaders are grounded in their wisdom and contribution and share it without buying into imposter syndrome or stepping on others to “get ahead”.

WHAT YOU’LL RECEIVE

This course is a 9-month collective deep dive into developing your resources and capacity as a regenerative leader in this challenging and revolutionary time in ways that support your unique gifts and truly serve justice and regeneration for all. We believe that in order to create truly just and thriving systems we need just and thriving leaders. You will dive deep into exploring what regenerative leadership means to you, unlearning what blocks you, and cultivating your leadership capacity in a way that supports your wellbeing and your impact. You will also be supported in developing a personal or community project in order to apply the course curriculum and tools in real-time and have the opportunity to receive feedback and support from the course community.

COURSE CURRICULUM

Module 1: Tilling the Soil

In our opening month we will establish the foundations of our journey together, both personally and collectively. The course curriculum will focus on exploring concepts and visions, and getting the soil for our work prepped and ready to nourish and support us as individuals and as a group. You will begin working with your Core Gift as a foundation (1:1 Core Gift Discovery sessions will take place before the start of the course or through the first couple weeks), developing anchors for yourself in your leadership and changemaking work, and envisioning yourself as a regenerative leader in the world.

Module 2: Getting Grounded

This course module will focus on cultivating tools and practices to support you in staying grounded no matter what life or your changemaking + leadership work throws at you. You will learn strategies for engaging with news + media in ways that prevent overwhelm and paralyzation, and you will strengthen your connection to the energy of inspiration. You will also ideate and begin designing your regenerative leadership project.

Module 3: Nourishing the Seeds

In this module you will focus on consciously developing your relationship with nature, and establishing a personal foundation that is sustaining and healing to you. We will explore themes of embodiment and learn how to support our physical vessels holistically as we step more fully into our leadership. We will also deep dive into communication techniques, styles and tools for effective and compassionate communication with a broad spectrum of people.

Module 4: Digging Deeper + Composting

This month we become alchemists. We will journey into the realms of our challenging and painful emotions about the state of our world and learn to honor, process and work with grief, anger, fear, despair, etc as allies in our regeneration and leadership. You will learn tools to transform the energy held in your emotions into fuel for aligned and positive action for change, composting the old into food for the new.

Module 5: Sprouting Joyfully

New compost makes the soil that much richer! In this module of the course we will re-seed ourselves and gather concepts, tools, and resources to sprout joyfully from our newly fortified soil. You will continue developing your relationship with nature, and dive deeply into exploring who you are as a unique changemaker and leader and how to use that knowledge to best support yourself and bring your visions to life with ease.

Module 6: Growing Strong

In this course module we will turn to cultivating a deeper understanding and embodiment of the foundations of justice necessary to grow strong in your leadership without stepping on anyone or perpetuating systems of oppression. We will explore frameworks of intersectionality, anti-racism, justice-centered activism, harm reduction, and accompliceship. You will gain tools and resources to work firmly and lovingly with your conditioning and shadows in order to ensure your leadership is regenerative for all, not at the cost of any. You will also explore strategies for bridge-building and community-based changemaking.

Module 7: Blooming in Service

This month you will continue expanding and solidifying your relationship with nature and learning how to carry it with you no matter where you are or what you’re doing. We will explore practices for stepping more fully into leadership on a bigger stage. You will gain a constellation of tools and modalities for supporting yourself as a regenerative leader intuitively and holistically. We’ll get (extra) mystical this month!

Module 8: Aligned Harvesting

As we approach the end of our journey together we’ll turn our attention to harvesting the seeds we’ve sown and grown over our time together. In this module you’ll double down on your regenerative leadership project and hone your energy towards bringing it more fully into physical reality. We’ll work collaboratively to support each others’ project harvests and clarify next steps towards our visions.

Module 9: Integrations, Celebrations + Moving Forward in Regenerative Leadership

In our final month we will focus on integrating and celebrating all that we have learned, explored, released, and accomplished so far on this journey. You’ll learn practices for understanding and integrating the winding journey you’ve experienced and for re-visioning the future. You will set fresh goals and intentions moving forward from this incubator and together we’ll close this chapter and open the next. Onward!

RACHEL TAYLOR is co-founder of The Joyality Project, a facilitator, activist, regenerative leader, writer, and student of nature within and without. Rachel has a BA in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA and is a certified Master Facilitator of Core Gift Discovery by the Core Gift Institute and a Certified Permaculture Designer. Rachel has been facilitating Joyality for 5+ years. As a facilitator Rachel is committed to cultivating transformative spaces that allow folx to be validated and held while exploring their edges and accessing new levels of vulnerability and expansion. Rachel is specifically committed to using her work through the Joyality Program as a force of social and environmental justice, unsettling and socio-political transformation that remembers our deep interconnection with Earth and all beings in order to co-create a world that is just and regenerative on all levels.
