Climate Wellbeing Resources for High Schools
A CLIMATE OF CHANGE…
Recent studies show that over 75% of young Australians (16–25yrs) are concerned about climate change, with 67% saying climate concerns are having a negative impact on youth mental health.
A Climate of Change educational program is a dynamic, nature-based climate wellbeing resource that can be delivered as 6 x 90 minute lessons or a 2 day incursion designed to support students as they engage with the complexities of climate change.
This unique program is designed for clear and confident delivery by teachers and wellbeing staff at your high school.
A Climate of Change equips students with tools to build:
● emotional resilience
● community connection
● connection with nature and place,
● purpose and passion
● empowering meaningful action
● creative adaptation
● inspiration and a sense of agency and hope for the future.
Provide your students with the skills and mindset they need to thrive in our changing world. This program is ideal for secondary school students, their teachers, wellbeing coordinators and other supportive adults looking for innovative and impactful resources.
Designed for year 10 or 11 students to support them as they learn about the realities of climate change; and for those students already impacted by and/or concerned about our changing climate.
We are looking for high schools in Northern NSW who’d like to pilot test these resources in Terms 2 and 3 this year, and our Joyality team are here to support you.
Download flyers for Term 2 and Term 3 here, to share with your school.
