JOYALITY for HEALING PROFESSIONALS - 18/19 September - 13/14 November. Join Haaweatea Holly Bryson for the 8 week Joyality Program. Space is limited, with 11 participants only, so apply** for your place now! (see exact times in your time zone below).

This course is designed specifically for counsellors, therapists and facilitators of therapeutic experiences in the natural world, such as adventure therapists, ecopsychologists, wilderness guides, nature therapists, rewilding teachers, deep ecology practitioners and facilitators, environmental educators, nature connection guides. Are you seeking training or professional development in these fields?

As professionals in these fields, we are on the frontlines of the psychological and emotional damage caused by the intersecting crises of our time. In these positions it is crucial to support and care for ourselves well, and to continue to develop and expand our capacity to respond to these challenges effectively and compassionately. We are facing new challenges, and that means we need new responses, new tools, and new strategies.

Joyality is an innovative and effective toolkit for you to care for yourself, while also expanding your capacity to support and care for your clients. These tools and practises are suitable for use with clients in both indoor and outdoor therapeutic environments. For more information on specific program themes and outcomes click HERE.

A Note from the Facilitator:

"In these fields of practice there is a need for more resilience and focused energy than ever before. Many of us are in a state of professional overwhelm that is increasing as the broader crises in the world grow. Global and social media brings numerous issues and experiences to our daily life, and our clients are increasingly affected by eco-grief, depression and anxiety. We can no longer isolate healing at an individual/family level without including the larger community and planetary context, and we need to continue to expand our tools and resources as professionals to do so. “

HAAWEATEA HOLLY BRYSON, MA (Australian, Waitaha, Ngāi Tahu) has specialised in guiding people through transformation, transition and trauma through experiences with the natural world for the past decade. She is an Eco/ Wilderness Therapist, Rite of Passage Guide, Psychotherapist, Vision Fast guide and Yoga and Meditation teacher. Now based in Hawai’i, she consults on programs within communities and organisations in Australia, the United States, and China.

Her personal experience with Joyality is that it allows people connect with what brings them most alive, (often it’s the very same with what has us feeling most overwhelmed). In accessing and transforming it we become powerfully present to our own life, home, land, relationships and communities.

REGISTRATION INCLUDES: 3 months access to The Joyality Program website with guided meditations, journalling prompts, and audio files; and membership of a secret Facebook group with the other Joyality participants and facilitators around the world. The early bird price of AUD $320 (approx. $240 USD) for the whole course is roughly the cost of a couple of yoga classes a week, or a good coffee every day! If finding the money is difficult for you, please contact us and we can arrange a payment plan, or apply for our Young Activist Scholarships. If you can afford to pay more, please choose the Pay It Forward ticket or Donate to support other less financially able participants to join your circle.

** Your registration for this course is an application, including questions about your interests and previous experience with facilitating therapy and/or nature connection.
